The Plas Heli Pontoon Berths are located to the north of Hafan marina and has its own access bridge from the new quay and to the west of Plas Heli main facility building.
Pwllheli harbour has easy access to Cardigan Bay and is an ideal base to explore our spectacular, scenic coastline of natural beauty and the numerous safe anchorages and harbours.
The pontoons also provide excellent facilities for visiting boats, training and events.
The Pontoons have been specifically designed for events and training, with a wide access bridge, boardwalks, flexible layout and open bays which are also ideal for Sailing, International Class Competitions, Boat Shows or Marine Exhibitions.
In addition, the Pontoons are available for visitor boats, and can accommodate large keelboat events, and visiting flotillas. Pwllheli Harbour has easy access to Cardigan Bay and is an ideal base to explore our scenic coastline of outstanding natural beauty, and the numerous safe anchorages and harbours.
The Pontoons, along with a versa-dock, can accommodate all event RIBs and committee boats. A floating slipway, and disabled access hoist makes the facility suitable for canoeing, kayaking, and rowing.
The berths are suitable for boats of any sizes from RIBs, PowerBoats, sportsboats to big keel boats.
There are four different berthing options available, as follows:
- Annual Berth Contract -12 months from 1st April
- Seasonal Berth Contract - 8 months – (March to October inclusive)
- Monthly Berth Contract –for the whole month in advance (Summer or Winter terms)
- Short-Stay Berth Contracts – calculated for every night stay

The Plas Heli pontoons has been specifically designed for events and training with a wide access bridge and walkways, flexible layout and with it's open bays makes the facility ideal for a Boat Show and for large keel boat championships such as the annual IRC Welsh National Championship.
The pontoons are available for visitor boats and can accommodate visiting flotillas and cruise in company fleets.

These berths are limited in number and will be allocated on a first come basis.
Please help us maintain these rates by paying promptly in advance
Please note, in particular, that you must have a minimum third party insurance of £3,000,000.
We also point out the following
- The shore facilities in Plas Heli are only available during the usual opening hours.
- There are electric hook-up points on the Plas Heli pontoons and we have a with or without electricity charging rate or a new pay as you use system.
- The secure access gate is operated by entering a security number on the key pad entry system. Berth holders will be provided with the access code.
- All Plas Heli berth holders have free parking on Cei Yr Heli (the quayside) parking area and will be provided with the barrier access code.
- Customers can apply for a 'Boat Specific Code' which will open both the pontoon gate and the barrier (so only one code to remember).
- Please make sure the gate is locked at all times.
- All Plas Heli berth holders have free use of the Plas Heli showers and toilet facilities including the ‘Out of Hours’ toilets and shower facility at Plas Heli on payment of £10 deposit for the key. This facility is exclusive for Plas Heli Berth holders and Plas Heli motor home users.
- Berth holders should satisfy themselves that hey have taken all reasonable precautions against theft or damage.
- Neither Plas Heli, Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing Club, Cyngor Gwynedd Council, Hafan Marina nor their staff, subcontractors, volunteers or agents are responsible for berth holders vessels in any way whatsoever while berthed on Plas Heli pontoons or stored ashore.
- Environmental Code of Conduct – all berth holders must comply with the Hafan’s Environmental Code of Conduct (see Hafan handbook).
