Electricity Opt-out - Pay as You Use

This is the process to opt-out of the standard electricity charging system on the Plas Heli pontoons, and the alternative charge as you use scheme.

Please inform Plas Heli of your decision to opt out of the standard electricity charging scheme by sending an email to pontoons@plasheli.org

When you have been approved for the metered usage scheme, please provide your own approved and calibrated meter with the starting reading.

The meter should be located in a position that is easy for Plas Heli to take readings.

You should then provide monthly readings

Plas Heli will issue periodic invoices for your consumption and on costs.

The invoice will have four elements as follows:

1.  Consumption cost charge at our cost rate (presently 56p/Kwh)

2.  Contribution to our service charge presently calculated at 10%.

3.  VAT will be added to the above charges. 

4.  Deduct the 'Part Payment in Advance' paid with the contract invoice.

If our energy costs reduce, we will pass on the reduction by adjusting the above rates.

The 'Annual' and 'Seasonal' berth contract invoice will include a £150 part payment in advance for the 'pay as you use' electricity.
